"Dear Sweet Mother of God, We're In Eastern Europe"

This morning, we packed up bright and early, hit the buffet one last time, climbed into the bus for the long road to Budapest.  Since we needed to pass through Slovakia on our way, the tour made a stop for lunch in lovely Bratislava, the nations capital:

Now, any of you who have seen Eurotrip will probably recognize this name.  This is the place where the group is dropped off by the crazy German guy, where they get a 4-star room for a nickel and all that stuff.



Now, obviously this is an exaggeration, but it certainly isn't  completely wrong.  The hotel where we were having lunch looked like this:
And the buildings on the outskirts looked like this:
It was, to sum it up, "post-communist".  Not too bad, but I was still definitely glad we were only passing through.

Also, Becky got locked out of the bathroom by Jess while trying to apply self-tanner, so now her hand looks like this:
Laugh at her misfortune!!!
